Work Experience

My passion for law and justice began early. Before starting my legal career, I volunteered at Victim Support Netherlands in Almelo. This gives me unique insight into how impactful legal procedures can be for victims and relatives in criminal cases.

Right after graduating in 2015, I began my legal career at the Public Prosecutor’s Office. As a court clerk at 'ZSM' in Deventer and at the CVOM in Utrecht, I assessed and processed numerous (traffic) criminal cases. I also served as OM representative at the Safety House Twente in complex cases where justice, police, and care institutions collaborated on major Twente criminal and/or care cases.

After my time at the Public Prosecutor’s Office, I transitioned to the Judiciary, where I worked for over three years as a (senior) legal officer at the Courts of Midden-Nederland (Utrecht) and Overijssel (Almelo and Zwolle).

In these various roles, I gained broad knowledge of criminal law. At the Public Prosecutor’s Office and the court, I worked closely with prosecutors and judges to prepare hearings. I also prepared cases for the magistrate and juvenile court and wrote judgments for the full bench.

Thus, I know better than anyone how criminal cases are viewed from different perspectives and can quickly get to the heart of the matter without beating around the bush. Your legal interests are thereby best served in court.

Finally, I spent the past three-plus years at a law firm in Enschede, further specializing in criminal law, victim rights, asylum law, and immigration law.
